Julie Nunn is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans large-scale installations, ceramic sculpture, painting, mixed media, and photography. She studied art at the University of the Pacific and has been creating throughout her life, developing a visual language rooted in movement, texture, color, and emotional resonance.
Using recycled and reclaimed materials, Nunn creates immersive installations and sculptural works that give discarded elements new presence and purpose. Her paintings—made with oils and pastels on canvas and birch—explore gesture, rhythm, and atmosphere, while her ceramic sculptures, mixed-media pieces, and photography extend her interest in material transformation and the natural world.
Nunn spends her time between California and Oregon Coasts, where the landscape, ocean, wind, and shifting light continually inform her work. A lifelong beach lover, she finds both inspiration and renewal near the water: “With my toes in the sand and wind at my back, I feel home.”
