Large Scale Installations
Sea Series ©️
Julie Nunn is a California-based artist whose work is rooted in a lifelong connection to the ocean. Drawing from her childhood experiences of the sea, she creates large-scale public installations that capture movement, energy, and beauty.
Using reclaimed and recycled materials, Julie transforms discarded materials into sculptural “sea pieces.” Her process is both intuitive and intentional—repurposing waste into forms that reflect the natural world while making the material itself impossible to ignore.
Her mission is to give people a direct, physical experience of the ocean’s wonder while confronting the reality of plastic pollution. By placing these works in public spaces, she aims to raise awareness, shift perception, and demonstrate how recycled materials can be turned into impactful, lasting art.
